Ubisoft/
microsite & facebook page
Video game developer Ubisoft required a preview site for an upcoming relaunch of their Driver series, Driver: San Francisco.
The site had to be as eye-catching as the game itself, and stir a comparable level of excitement before the launch. With many of the great fridays staff having learnt to drive playing the infamous 1999 game, we had a solid understanding of the elements that make up a game as thrilling as Driver.
We examined the branding of the game, implementing a creative strategy that would best suit the microsite. This included linking to social networking sites Facebook and Twitter in order to generate a buzz around the launch. The visual design had to be engaging, and convey a level of excitement that users could expect upon the game’s launch. We added some animations that brought sleek design elements to the site, while not detracting from the main message.
The teaser site, featuring a heart-racing video, is sure to get fans revved up for the release of Driver: San Francisco in March 2011.
